From garage to window
Based in the US, with master inventor Willis Mullet at the helm – QMotion has taken technologies born in the automated garage door industry and adapted them for use within the home for window shading. QMotion UK brings these popular products to the UK market and we love integrating them into our smart home projects.
The QMotion products really do push the boundaries of this type of technology and are market leaders across the globe – their shades move quietly and efficiently, with batteries lasting years.
Control in the palm of your hand
Their automatic window shades can be controlled remotely and wirelessly from a small QMotion Remote Control or iPhone/Android apps. Saving you the hassle and cost of chasing unsightly cables you can simply control the shades in your home from your device or via Control4.
The shades are almost completely silent when they’re on the move. The user friendliness of the control interface makes them simple to set up, especially from our point of view – they’re a dream to integrate. If that’s not enough to convince you QMotion is the way forward, this year at CEDIA 2018 they announced a couple of new developments which have got the team here very excited.
New, this season is QMotion’s curtain track and roman blinds. You can now benefit from even more design options utilising the same market leading technology in automated shading solutions. These additions to the QMotion suite of products are welcome ones, as we find more people opting for the automated route. Enabling customers to use their own curtains plus no more dangerous, tangled curtain or blind strings – just near silent, remote open and closing – with the added benefits of heat saving and security.
We have recently seen an increase in the number of enquiries for automated window dressings and with the new offerings from QMotion and their extensive range of fabrics we are able to offer more design led, bespoke systems to our clients.
