Meeting Rooms, Smart Boards & more – Natural History Museum

Tasked with bringing the natural history museums main conference room up to date with a system capable of hosting seamless remote and In house meetings and presentations. Due to the rooms size and layout, a Logitech rally system was best option. A central hub located underneath the main table meant cabling on display was minimised keeping the table clear.

The room hosts up to 50 people so microphone coverage of the entire space was crucial, to ensure all voices could be heard, three high resolution noise cancelling microphones were placed along the table with cable management all done below the surface.

A wall mounted 85 inch 4k TV is displayed at the bottom of the table giving all users of the room a clear view of the display.  From the table we provided several cable points for a laptop/computer to connect to the display on the screen with ease.

Situated underneath the TV is a studio quality video, motorised PTZ and auto framing camera, giving quality image to those remotely connecting to any meetings. 

Two speakers fixed on the wall underneath the display project sound flawlessly across the room, providing rich sound for all to hear. 

Two classrooms in need of teaching technology upgrades, we brought these classrooms back up to date with Smart board MX series.

Previously wall mounted projectors were used to display on one side of each classroom and a simple white board on the other. To combine both these elements we installed two smart boards, with one either side in one room. The screens can be operated easily with hassle free external device connection, with hidden cabling to the teaching desk. We gave the users the option to mirror the displays or use them individually. The interactive boards can be used as a normal white board or to display connected external inputs.

As well as using the boards to display a computer screen, these boards can control the connected computer directly from the board, meaning the presentations can be done from the board instead of the desk.

Replacing the dated white boards with the interactive screens both modernised the aesthetics of the room as well it’s features. These boards are ideal for any classroom teaching set ups and are very user friendly, meaning you don’t need a degree to use the features.

The boards have high-definition touch display, with a built-in android computer meaning additional computers are optional but still fully compatible with Windows and Mac. The screens also boast 4k UHD resolution and excellent built-in speakers ideal for the size of the rooms.

After the successful delivery of several conference systems in the main London Natural History Museum, we were asked to visit the Tring Museum for a review of their equipment. Upon inspection and discussing the room requirements, it became clear a simple but effective meeting system to communicate with the London Museum was required.

As the room only hosts around 15 people at a time our recommended 65-inch display was more than sufficient for this space.

Our smart meeting solution was mounted beneath the display, providing a sleek design and unrivalled features.  These include an integrated high-definition camera, two built in microphones and dual speakers, making it ideal to host remote meetings. A small computer was fixed behind the TV with wireless controls on the desk to keep all cabling and the need for plugging equipment in to a minimum.
